May 9 -- Our New Yorker of the week is a devout Catholic whose marriage was criticized by the President of Poland. He prides himself on his arrest record and he's gay. Peter Cardwell introduces us to Brendan Fay.

May 2 -- Economist Jeffrey Sachs is the director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. He advises the UN Secretary General, travels around the world and is trying to bring an end to global poverty. Gayle Issa spent some time with Sachs who says that real solution to these global problems do exist and that connecting the classroom to the world is part of the answer.

April 25 - Allah B runs the Allah School in Mecca Street Academy, in Harlem. It is a place where children can go after school to finish their homework, learn about black history, or simply have a safe place to stay for part of the day.

April 11 - For our New Yorker of the Week, Amy Greenstein, resettling immigrants is a cause close to her heart. At Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, an organization that helped resettle Greenstein’s mother after she left Cuba, Greenstein helps recent immigrants learn about the city while preparing them for their new lives.
